SPIA sponsors both need-based scholarships as well as merit-based awards for undergraduate and graduate students studying political science, international affairs, and public administration and policy.

We encourage eligible undergraduate students to apply for funding for internships, scholarships, conference travel, supplies, and general support. Apply for a scholarship.

SPIA offers a number of teaching and research assistantships for students enrolled in SPIA graduate programs. The Graduate School also offers competitive assistantships and faculty members occasionally hire research assistants to work on funded research projects. Recipients of assistantships automatically receive a tuition waiver, regardless of their residency status.
